During my discovery of a topic and the research of this topic, I truly enjoyed navigating the internet searching for information on what I found important and enjoyable. What made this different from any other paper or project that I have done was the fact that I was able to choose what I wanted to write about. That made for a wonderful research opportunity.

Above is my Topic Proposal, which, essentially, explains why I chose my Extended Inquiry Project topic. A major reason why I chose to research black-on-black crime is because, as an African American male, this issue affects my community at the core, and I feel a certain responsibility to bring it to others's attention.

While doing the annotated bibliography above, I can honestly say that it was a tedious and annoying process. Finding certain types of sources was difficult, and reading through each to summarize them took quite some time. However, in retrospect, I see the value in what was done. I am truly thankful for this process, because it helped me identify sources that related to my topic, instead of only finding random sources that only mentioned the topic once or twice.
